Sydney Aylward
Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School - I worked hard to earn a varsity starting position during my freshman season (2019). I have been playing field hockey since I was eight years old. At that time, I also began playing soccer and played both sports for the next five years. After middle school, I chose to focus on my first love, field hockey. I am hardworking both on and off the field. During my freshman year, I took all Level 1 courses and maintained an A average. Every time I take my first step on the field, I put 100% into the game. I learn from my mistakes and I see them as stepping stones to better myself at the game. I love my teammates and it is amazing knowing that I can rely on them on and off the field. I am currently undecided about my major, but hope to make an impact on my future college's field hockey team. Hayley Campbell
Susquehanna Township High School -
My name is Hayley Campbell, and I began playing field hockey in middle school for Susquehanna Township.  I have been a varsity letter winner my past two years and started and played every varsity minute this past season.  I am always challenging myself to grow as a player and teammate.   I have also danced for thirteen years which allows me to be agile in the cage as well as participate in my church’s worship team.  Academically, I have been a consistent distinguished honors student, holding over a ninety-eight percent grade point average in all honors and advanced placement courses. I bring an energetic, encouraging, and competitive aspect to the game. I believe the most important quality I bring to my team is my ability to drive my team to be an unstoppable force, while being the pillar of the communicative element, by commanding the field, that is the key to the web of dominant gameplay. I am looking forward to bringing these attributes to a college where I can be academically challenged and can participate in a high level of play.  Here is a link to some highlights from this past sophomore season in which I allowed 0.66 goals per game and was named a Mid Penn All-Star:  https://youtu.be/jZ0S-rkvmCQ

Mikenna Jorich

Central Dauphin Senior High School Unlike many of my other teammates, I did not find my passion and love for field hockey until the start of my adolescence. I struggled to find where I belong, though once I found field hockey, I found myself and continued to pursue and grow the sport, thus growing myself. While being a hard worker on the field and constantly striving to be my best, I am twice as focused on my academics, which continually come first in any situation. During my freshman year, I took all sophomore and advanced courses and held an A average (and I am doing the same my sophomore year.) Furthermore, I helped several of my classmates do the same in my classes or other ones they take. Likewise, I am a team player and work easily with anyone, loving to build strong connections with whoever I meet. Not only do I notice my own mistakes, but also the ones of others easily, helping to improve myself and provide useful constructive criticism.  recruiting site: https://www.ncsasports.org/field-hockey-recruiting/pennsylvania/harrisburg/central-dauphin-senior-high-school/mikenna-jorich

Lauren Poplaski
Camp Hill High School
My name is Lauren Poplaski and I have been playing field hockey for seven years. I train year round and have played for Central Penn Field Hockey Club for three years. If I am not on the field I am playing softball, snowboarding, or spending time with family and friends. I knew that field hockey was my passion the first time I picked up a stick, and I have dedicated an immense amount of time improving my skills and game play. Being a sedulous player and having an open mind to constructive criticism has helped me improve overall as a person and a hockey player. As my coach says I have a “hockey heart” and consistently work to enhance my abilities. I am currently taking two honors classes and have been a distinguished honor roll student since 6th grade. Along with having a 4.0 gpa, I am involved in numerous school clubs including class council, key club, and I am a committee member for Minithon. Additionally I have been an assistant coach to the U9 Camp Hill Field Hockey Club. This gives me the opportunity to give back to the program that introduced me to field hockey and inspire girls to get involved in this incredible sport. These groups have taught me to be a leader and a hard working teammate. I bring an enthusiastic and optimistic energy to the field that motivates other teammates and myself. With that, my capability to encourage and work alongside others is important in field hockey as well as everyday life and this year I had the honor of being a varsity player as a forward for Camp Hill High School. I have played every position on the field, however I currently play on the forward line and occasionally midfield. I hope to play field hockey throughout my future academic years and would like to possibly undertake neuroscience or psychology as my major. I would like to find a college that is the perfect fit for both my academic and field hockey goals. Casey Tyrrell

Mechanicsburg High School I have been playing field hockey since I was 11 years old. I have also played soccer and basketball, but my passion for field hockey grew and I decided to just stick with field hockey. I have learned so much about the game over the past 5 years and have continued to learn and grow as a player. When I'm not playing field hockey I focus on my school work, where I've maintained a GPA of 3.8 and a class rank of 70/327. My goal is to play field hockey at a college that gives me an opportunity to grow both on the field and in the classroom.  I plan on selecting a program of study that is focused on the medical field. Ava Waters

Susquehanna Township  High School -
Hello! My name is Ava Waters. I’m enrolled in all honors and advanced placement classes and maintain a cumulative GPA of over 100 putting me in the top 10% of my class. In addition, I’m the Sophomore President of Student Government, as well as, the secretary for Key Club and Interact Club. When I’m not focused on my academics, field hockey is something I’m passionate about and love playing all year long. I bring leadership, energy, and an open-mind to my teams. I began playing in 6th grade and love that the sport takes strategy, focus, determination, and passion. Through the years, I have played varsity on all of my school teams beginning in seventh grade and was named captain by peers in 8th grade.  As a freshman and sophomore, I was named a key player for my high school team in Penn Live, our local newspaper, and earned my varsity letter my freshman year. Central Penn has really contributed positively to my development as a player and provides me the ability to play all year long! I love to learn new ways to play the game and by playing in college I can further develop my skills/strategies, my work ethic and time management skills.  See my profile at  ava-waters

Maya Williams
Central Dauphin High School
My name is Maya Grace Williams. I am currently a Sophomore at Central Dauphin High School. Sports have always been a critical part of my life. Over the years I have been involved in swimming, track and field, soccer, basketball, and field hockey. Field hockey has not always been my focus. However, during a field hockey game my seventh grade year I was injured, leaving me on crutches, and missing the season for extensive physical therapy. Through a long journey of recovery was when I found my passion for field hockey. Not being able to play made me realize how much I loved the sport. After countless physical therapy appointments and hours of training I was finally healed and went on to start varsity my Freshman and Sophomore year. Currently, in addition to field hockey, I run track, swim, am a member of the National Honor Society, the Vice President of my class, and a lead photographer of my school’s yearbook program. My team and I have had two extremely successful seasons playing at Central Dauphin High School. Last year, we were Mid-Penn runner ups as well as in the final four for states. This year we were Mid-Penn champs, District champs, and State runner-ups. Over the years sports, especially field hockey have taught me endless lessons as well as created unbreakable bonds. I am hoping to play Division I Field Hockey and/or run Division I Track and major in a field that involves helping people.

Natalie Wilson
Mechanicsburg High School I began playing field hockey when I was 9 years old. I play(ed) other sports through the years (lacrosse, basketball, rugby) but hockey has always been my passion. I started playing with Central Penn when I was 11.  The club has been vital in growing my skills as well as my love for the game. With CP I have developed from playing on availability teams as a U12 to being placed on the top teams for both indoor & outdoor seasons as a U14 & U16.  A highlight was placing 1st in Pool B at the 2019 U14 NIT.  I also appreciate the opportunities I’ve had to be a mentor, coach & umpire for younger girls through the Mech Rec department & CP mini sticks. I received a varsity letter my freshman and sophomore years at Mechanicsburg. During my sophomore year I had the opportunity to start varsity, where I played in the midfield.  I have a 3.8 GPA and am on the honor roll. My coaches tell me I am a great teammate, a hard worker, and very coachable.  I am exploring my educational & career interests so I am looking for a college that has many opportunities and a team that will push me & encourage my growth as a player and person! https://sites.google.com/view/natalie-wilson-2023/home
